Elite Dragons Ninja
USA Ninja Challenge gyms compete in UNAA (Ultimate Ninja Athletic Association) events and many of the ninjas on our team also compete in other leagues like WNL (World Ninja League).
Ninja competitions provide a great complement to traditional team sports and help athletes with strength, flexibility and confidence.
The Elite Dragons Ninja team practices twice a week, Monday and Thursday. There will be set times on those two days based on a combination of skill and age. Each team member is required to practice twice a week with at least one of those being the designated team practice and the other an advanced or expert recreation class.
While Ninja is an individual sport, there are many benefits to becoming a team member. Ninja team members will experience training that goes far above regular ninja classes. They will be taught time-saving obstacle techniques, undergo upper body, core and grip strength conditioning and learn the concepts of teamwork, respect and sportsmanship associated with team sports.
You can expect to attend between 5-20 competitions a year. Each family decides which competitions they would like to attend. The team is a year round commitment. Local competitions start in October and culminate at the Regional Championships in May and Nationals in July. USA Ninja Challenge does not cover the costs for athletes to attend competitions.
Similar to other competitive club sports, tryouts for the Elite Dragons team are open, but the number of accepted team members is limited.
