Ninja Competition Team

Elite Dragons Ninja

Competitive Ninja is a great primary sport and complements traditional team sports by improving athlete strength, flexibility and confidence, responsibility, work ethic and more. The sport of competitive ninja is growing exponentially every year! If you or your child has ever thought about the next level of ninja, now is the time to tryout for the Elite Dragons Ninja Team. Our team has quickly developed young athletes into powerhouses on the Ninja circuit. Last year we qualified more than 20 athletes for various league National and World Championships, that’s half our team!

            Sign up for Tryouts:

If you already have an iclass account with us - Member Tryouts

If you do not have an iclass account with us - Non-Member Tryouts

While Ninja is an individual sport, there are many benefits to becoming a team member. Ninja team members will experience training that goes far above regular ninja classes. They will be taught time-saving obstacle techniques, upper body, core and grip strength conditioning and learn the concepts of teamwork, respect and sportsmanship associated with team sports.

The Marlborough USA Ninja Challenge team, Elite Dragons Ninja, competes in UNAA (Ultimate Ninja Athletic Association) , WNL (World Ninja League) and USANC Franchise league. We are looking to participate in FINA (Federation of International Ninja Athletes) this year as well.

More info on the league we participate in can be found on our Elite Dragons Ninja page.

We host both local and regional competitions at our gym in Marlborough.

Elite Dragons Ninja is split into three levels

Emerge -

Athletes new to ninja competition and are looking to train harder but maybe not run in many/any competitions yet. They will practice once a week on Monday. If competing, they would generally compete in the USANC Franchise competition league.

Elevate -

Athletes that are ready to participate in competitions. They will practice twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday. Generally competing in WNL Tier 2 and a combination of UNAA and USANC Franchise league.

Elite -

Our best and most mature Ninja Athletes practicing on Tuesday and Thursday. Generally competing in WNL Tier 1 and a combination of UNAA and USANC Franchise league.

Practices are on set days for the season. Monday and Thursday for Elevate and Elite, Tuesday for Emerge.

Depending on commitment level you can expect to compete 0 to 20 times per year. There is no requirement to participate in a certain number of competitions. Each family decides which competitions they would like to attend.

Local competitions generally start in October with Regional and World Championships in the early Spring and Summer. Families are responsible for competition registration and attendance costs. This includes travel to Regional and World Competitions in other states.

Similar to other competitive club sports, tryouts for the Elite Dragons team are open, but the number of accepted team members is limited. The coaches will determine which team level is appropriate for each athlete based on a combination of skill, age, experience, and maturity.

Qualifications to attend try-outs

  • Be at least 6 years old
  • For Elite and Elevate consideration - Have achieved level 2 Ninja (orange) or have the equivalent skills from training at other gyms
  • For Emerge - No required skill level, looking for the desire and grit to train at a higher level.
