USA Ninja Challenge gyms compete in UNAA (Ultimate Ninja Athletic Association) events and many of the ninjas on our team also compete in other leagues like WNL (World Ninja League).
Competitive Ninja is a great complement to traditionalteam sports and help athletes with strength, flexibility and confidence.
The Elite Dragons are split into three levels;
Emerge - Athletes new to ninja competition and are looking to train harder but maybe notrun in competitions yet. They will practice once a week on Monday. If competing, they would generally compete in the USANC Franchise competition league.
Elevate - Athletes that are ready to participate in competitions. They willpractice twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday. Generally competing in WNL Tier 2 and a combination of UNAA and USANC Franchise league.
Elite - Our best and most mature Ninja Athletes practicing on Tuesday and Thursday. Generally competing in WNL Tier 1 and a combination of UNAA and USANC Franchise league.
Practices are on set days for the season. Monday and Thursday for Elevate and Elite, Tuesday for Emerge.
While Ninja is an individual sport, there are many benefits to becoming a team member. Ninja team members will experience training that goes far above regular ninja classes. They will be taught time-saving obstacle techniques, upper body, core and grip strength conditioning and learn the concepts of teamwork, respect and sportsmanship associated with team sports.
Depending on commitment level you can expect to compete 0 to 20 times per year. There is no requirement to participate in a certain number of competitions. Each family decides which competitions they would like to attend.
Local competitions generally start in October with Regional and World Championships in the early Spring and Summer. Families are responsible for competition registration and attendance costs.
Similar to other competitive club sports, tryouts for the Elite Dragons team are open, but the number of accepted team members is limited.
